April 17, Zambia Lumwana power station opening ceremony was held,The substation is constructed by CHICO. President of Zambian ,local officials, the power companies and other relevant leaders attended the event. The mainstream media in Zambia has done a full tracking report. In the interview, Banda, President of Zambia, expressed gratitude for CHICO’s delivering a high standard of quality substation and making a huge contribution for Zambia’s power market.
The total amount of Zambia Lumwana substation contract is 22 million U.S. dollars, the owners of the substation is the power companies of Zambia, The project is by far the highest voltage substation. The substation is composed of three parts: The substation 330kv high-voltage power distribution area, 33kv area of low voltage power distribution area and the main control room. The success of operation of substation will greatly meet the local people’s electricity demand. as well as, CHICO wins a good market reputation in Zambia.
